Woodcarver - hand carved caricatures, animals & ornaments

My beginning in woodcarving started in 2015 with a simple moment while decorating our Christmas tree. I discovered a broken Santa ornament and decided to try carving one myself as a replacement. Around the same time, I also began carving ice fishing decoys, combining creativity with traditional carving techniques.

My father, a woodshop teacher, played an important role in beginning by helping me acquire my first tools and preparing the initial cutouts for ornaments and decoys. From there, I spent many hours practicing and developing my skills, largely self-taught, while continuing to learn through classes with a variety of experienced instructors.

Today my work focuses on caricature carving and traditional forms, blending character, craftsmanship, and a respect for the heritage of woodcarving. I am honored to have my work recognized through publication in Woodcarving Illustrated.
